I’m an African businesswoman originally from Côte d’Ivoire, with over 11 years of professional braiding experience in the Chicago and Naperville areas. I specialize in authentic African braiding, from traditional styles to modern protective hairstyles. My goal is for every client to feel comfortable and leave with a style they love. 📍 Located in Geneva, Illinois. 🟡 PLEASE READ BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT HAIR PREPARATION Please arrive with clean, fully detangled, thoroughly blow-dried hair unless you have arranged a shampoo service in advance. ALLERGIES & SENSITIVITIES Please let me know before your appointment if your scalp is sensitive; your hair is fragile, thinning, damaged, or prone to breakage; or you have reacted to synthetic braiding hair or hair products. You are welcome to bring hair and products that you already know work well for you. STYLE CHANGES Please request changes to your hairstyle, braid size, color, or length when scheduling or at least 48 hours before your appointment. Shampoo requests must also be made in advance. Same-day changes are not guaranteed and may affect the time, price, or appointment date. COMFORT & STYLE APPROVAL Please tell me immediately if your braids feel too tight or you experience pain, burning, itching, or discomfort. Confirm your style, size, length, color, and parting during the service, and check the finished style before leaving so I can make any reasonable adjustments. PAYMENT & REFUNDS Once a service has started, the time, labor, products, and braiding hair already used are non-refundable. If you choose to stop the service before completion, you will be charged for the work performed and materials used, with a minimum charge of 50% of the scheduled service price. Once the agreed hairstyle is complete, the full remaining balance is due. A change of mind after completion does not qualify for a refund. STYLE LONGEVITY How long a style lasts varies with your hair, the style you choose, and your care routine. Swimming, washing, sweat, and humidity can cause frizz or make natural hair more visible through the braids. HEALTH & SAFETY Please do not arrive with open sores, bleeding, severe irritation, or a suspected scalp infection. Your appointment may need to be postponed. Braids by Ami provides hairstyling services and does not diagnose or treat scalp conditions. 🖤 ABOUT OUR SERVICES Braids by Ami is a women-focused studio specializing in women’s braiding and protective hairstyles. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 3 days before the scheduled appointment.
Any cancellation made within 3 days of the appointment will result in a 45%cancellation fee. This fee helps compensate for the time reserved and preparation for your service. Thank you for your understandings
